Students Gain Valuable Experience in Hospitality Industry

Rosen College students gain experience in hospitality industry.

Student from UCF's Rosen College of Hospitality celebrated World Tourism Day by participating in Visit Orlando's annual Job Shadow Day.  Nearly 100 Rosen College students took part in the program, expanding their knowledge on the many opportunities Orlando's tourism industry has to offer.

Students were paired with the employer that best suited their career interests for a full day of educational, hands-on experiences.  Visit Orlando reached out to more than 1,200 member-partners, including companies such as: Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando Resort, Fun Spot attractions, Rosen Hotels & Resorts, Loews Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Grand Vacations, Marriott Vacations Worldwide and Wyndham Vacation Ownership.

Activities surrounding World Tourism Day started in 1980 and are coordinated by The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO/OMT), a specialized agency of the United ‎Nations and leading international organization in the field of tourism. More information on UNWTO can be found at
